The upgraded counter records eligible public page views by date and page, plus recognized traffic-source categories and approved campaign labels. Unknown labels and full referral addresses are not retained. These counters do not store IP addresses, email addresses, raw user agents or referrer queries, and do not use fingerprinting. Hosting providers may keep their own operational logs. Owner, QA, likely-bot and prefetch traffic is filtered where detectable; filtering is best effort.
Optional browser estimates use a random identifier stored on this browser only after you opt in. A site-specific one-way hash links first/last activity and fixed 30-minute session timing, but no per-browser page history is retained. Estimated browsers are not people or all visitors; clearing storage, private mode and different devices can change the estimate. Identifier state persists until you turn estimates off. A minimal revoked-token hash and anonymous totals are retained to block queued tracking and preserve aggregate history. Random event IDs are retained to avoid counting retries twice.

Reader notes collect the name and message you choose to submit. They stay private until the Captain approves them for display. Don’t include contact details or other private information in a note.
The Captain’s desk uses ChatGPT sign-in. Its drafts, outreach notes and private uploads are restricted to the verified owner. Hosting and storage are provided through ChatGPT Sites, with Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2.
